Intro/New Features
TRUE Temper Hockey kicks off the new season with a brand new low kick profile family. Designed particularly for the playmaker goalie, the HZRDUS PX goalie stick features a brand new Vibration Suppression System, along with TRUE’s BRT, Axenic Tech, and brand new RESFLO and TRT technologies. HZRDUS will be replacing the previous low-kick AX line, building off what made it great while adding new innovations and integrating tech that made the Catalyst line great too.
Shaft Construction
TRUE’s patented Axenic Technology is the method they use to construct their true one-piece hockey sticks, which is what they have used here again. To enhance both rigidity and impact strength, TRUE implemented their Precision Laminate Design (PLD). Focused Resin Flow (RESFLO) is new this year and a major reason they were able to add so much to the stick while keeping it lightweight. RESFLO eliminates excess negative space, so the stick can have a stronger, more reinforced laminate.
TRUE’s brand new Vibration Suppression System (VSS) is designed to do just as its name implies: suppress vibration in the shaft and reduce stingers. A narrow, cylindrical piece has been added inside the shaft to lessen vibrations upon impact.
The HZRDUS PX goalie stick is tailored for the agile or playmaking goalie, so it’s been given a low kick profile. The paddle is softer and stiffens at the blade, which keeps the blade ready to shoot and the paddle prepared to take shots. The soft paddle absorbs impact better, effectively killing rebounds and making sure you are in full control of where they go.
Blade Construction/Stiffness
The blade of the HZRDUS PX goalie stick is stiff with BAT, or Braided Aramid Tech, integrated into the make. BAT gives it added resistance and better dampening properties while allowing it to keep its low weight. TRUE also integrated their new TRT tech into the blade, which is a specific structure build that matches rib placements with key puck impact zones, stabilizing the blade better.
Graphics
With the HZRDUS family debut comes some brand-new graphics. The HZRDUS PX presents itself with an orange and black splatter pattern. The “HZRDUS” text logo sits along the shaft in black, and its outline, along with the TRUE logo, PX, and HZRDUS’ new image logo are all in clean, reflective chrome colouring. TRUE is written across the paddle in chrome.
Grip
The HZRDUS PX goalie stick uses a soft gloss, hexagonal grip at the top of the paddle to help you keep hold of the stick better.
Blade Patterns, Paddle Lengths, Stick Lengths, Weight, Level of Play
The HZRDUS PX Intermediate goalie stick is built for the elite-level player and comes in 24” and 23” lengths and the following colourways: Black/Grey, Black/Orange, and White/Black. At retail, it is available with the MC2 curve.
The MC2 has more of a mid-heel curve compared to the MC curve, making it a bit better for taking shots. Like the MC, the MC2 is great in its versatility, and it excels in tight stickhandling in small spaces.
